In this entertaining tribute, Terry Sanderson looks at the many aspects of Dietrich’s complex personality. He will explore her legendary movie career using generous clips from her best films then, accessing rare archive material, give a moving tribute to her phenomenal work as an anti-Nazi during WWII.
The evening culminates with a complete performance, on the big screen, of her fabulous one-woman show, with which she toured the world. Recorded in Australia in 1963, this is Dietrich at her peak, accompanied by Burt Bacharach and his orchestra. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see a legendary performer in dazzling form.
